Description of Services:  SCIP is a semester-long, drama-based group intervention at Children’s Medical Center for children ages 8-14 who have been diagnosed with ASD and are high-functioning. It is designed to help children improve their understanding of body language, tone of voice, navigate the complex social world of pre-teens and teens, and acquire practical social skills (such as dealing with teasing and bullying.)

Description of Services: The UTD Social Group was formed to assist/support young adults, with Asperger syndrome in the college and work settings.  The group meets once per week to discuss various social topics and to practice social and communication skills needed for social, academic, and work life.

Description of Services: The Playmates program facilitates peer interaction and social success in a small group setting through individualized plans and collaborative play. Most children in this group will have ASD. Children need to be communicating with a variety of intentions with familiar adults and to have at least some functional vocabulary.
